Letter from the Director of Alumni Development
Share |

As a fellow graduate and as Director of Alumni Development for SGU, let me bring in 2015 with these new and exciting opportunities at your Alma Mater that are tailor-made for you.  These include:

  • Becoming a Visiting Professor to Grenada - SGU grads get first preference!
  • Participating as a host or guest in accredited CME activities in Grenada or the US
  • Participating in Alumni-focused conferences in Grenada
  • Presenting clinical cases via SKYPE for the newly-launched student Diagnostic Society in Grenada
  • Presenting and discussing with students at the newly-launched Alumni Grand Rounds program in Grenada for all visiting alumni
  • An expanding professional Alumni Relations website (SGU Alumni Community) that offers contacts and many other services for all alumni

To find out more about the above, all you need to do is to contact our Alumni Relations Office staff - Rona McIntyre and Tonya Duncan are ready, willing, and very able to assist you.  They can be reached at alumnirelationsoffice@sgu.edu or via telephone 631-649-7958 (toll free).

To register at the Alumni Relations website and contact with your fellow alumni, click here.  Here are the benefits:

  • Sign-in via Facebook using our secure bridge
  • Access to the Alumni Directory to find your classmates
  • Discussion Groups to share your ideas and issues
  • Blogs and Forums to share news and photos with the online community
  • Photo Gallery to create your own personal gallery
  • Career Opportunities both inside and outside SGU
  • Social Networking - online community members can add friends to their social networks

On a final note, we are also in the process of upgrading the Alumni Hall at True Blue with class pictures, alumni histories and accomplishments.  It will be impressive.  If you have any materials or suggestions, please do send them in.

Many thanks, and I look forward to staying in touch!
