Share |

Alyssa Bierzynski, BA. MA

Alyssa Bierzynski graduated from the School of Arts and Sciences at St. George’s University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a specialization in English Language. After graduating, Alyssa worked at Grenada Bottling Company Limited before moving to Washington, DC to pursue her Master of Arts degree in Public Communication at American University. It was at American University that Alyssa started focusing on the effect that communication has on first impressions. Alyssa then joined the Events team at AARP, and worked on a number of events including the Life@50+ National Events in Los Angeles and New Orleans; the Movies for Grownups Awards in Beverly Hills; and the Drive to End Hunger campaign with NASCAR.

Alyssa is now an Instructor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at St. George’s University. She is an avid watcher of commercials, blogger, and lover of social media.

Returning as SASAA President for a second term, Alyssa intends to focus on continuing to develop and strengthen the relationship between our alumni and current students of the School of Arts and Sciences. Being an Instructor in the School of Arts and Sciences and also Faculty Advisor of the Undergraduate Student Government Association, has allowed her to see the need for dynamic alumni/student mentorship program – one that will not only just provide networking opportunities, but also encourage collaboration in a number of areas among students and alumni.
