Student Alumni Council
Share |

The Student Alumni Council (SAC) is a new initiative of the Alumni Relations Office, approved by the Alumni Coordinating Board.  It has been recognized that there needs to be closer ties fostered between our alumni and the varying communities that comprise St. George's University, primarily our students.  With this in mind, the SAC was seen as the ideal vehicle to bring students, administration, and alumni (via the Alumni Association) together.

The Student Alumni Council (SAC) is a body of students and alumni drawn from the schools of the University who serve in leadership roles as liaisons between the students and alumni, in conjunction with administrative personnel who work in areas designed to improve the student and alumni experience.  The purpose of the SAC is to foster positive interactions between students and alumni, to promote student development through co-curricular and extracurricular engagements, and to facilitate the transition of students into alumni. The Council is committed to providing support for networking between students and alumni as individuals and as groups, encouraging participation in social and educational activities that promote the values and interests of the University, and in building lasting personal and professional relationships that will continue throughout each graduate’s life.  The Council will promote strengthening of ties to the University and the development of current students as future alumni.
